Bye-bye, Apex Legends Mobile officially leaves Android and iOS

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Apex Legends Mobile game has been confirmed not to continue on the Android or iOS platforms. EA and Respawn Entertainment announced the information in February 2023.

Quoting the official statement, the game officially stops today, Monday (1/5/2023) at 16.00 PST or May 2 2023 at 06.00 WIB. Thus, all Apex Legends Mobile players will no longer be able to play this game afterwards.

The decision to close Apex Legends Mobile is somewhat surprising, because this game is not even one year old. However, EA also had its own reasons for deciding to close this battle royale game.

Meanwhile, EA reasoned that Apex Legends Mobile was closed because the content presented could not meet a number of standards in terms of quality, quantity and rhythm, even though it was supported by a strong start.

“For these reasons, after months of working with development partners, we have made the joint decision to retire our mobile game,” wrote EA and Respawn.

Previously, EA had also stopped in-game purchases with real money since January 31, 2023, along with the removal of this game from the webstore. However, players can still spend their Syndicate Gold and play this game.

While Apex Legends players who have made transactions with real money, EA ensures that they will not get a refund. According to EA, the policy is in accordance with the User Agreement agreed upon by players.

“Although disappointing, we are proud of the game we launched, we are also grateful for the support from the Apex Legends community, and are confident that this is the right decision for players,” wrote EA explaining.
