Chatri Calls Rodtang Can Destroy Floyd Mayweather

– One Championship CEO, Chatri Sityodtong paid special praise to fighter Rodtang Jitmuangnon. According to Chatri, the holder of the Muay Thai world champion belt in the Flyweight One Championship division can destroy the world boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather.

The reason is said by Chatri, in boxing the fight is only limited by hand rules.

“Floyd Mayweather is arguably one of the best boxers in history. But is he the best striker? No, Rodtang (Jitmuangnon) can kill Floyd,” said Chatri in his interview with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.

For this reason, Chatri dismisses the notion that the best boxer can be said to be the best martial arts striker.

“The sport of boxing has limited rules. You can’t kick your opponent’s head, you can’t kick your opponent’s feet, you can’t elbow your opponent in the face,” said the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt.

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with Chatri’s argument, the debate over who is the best striker is rife in the world of martial arts. Therefore the result of the match is an absolute answer.

Such was the case in ONE Championship’s special-rules super bout when Rodtang Jitmuangnon faced ONE flyweight MMA World Champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson on March 26 last year.
