Cool, Women’s National Team Striker Zahra Muzdalifah Joins Japanese Club Cerezo Osaka

– Main striker of the women’s Indonesian National Team, Zahra Muzdalifah officially joined the elite Japanese League club, Cerezo Osaka Yanmar Ladies.

To note, Cerezo Osaka Ladies is a women’s soccer club that will debut in the WE League competition, which is the main level competition for women’s soccer in Japan.

“Of course this is a new experience for me to be able to practice and play with a famous soccer club in Japan, Cerezo Osaka Yanmar Ladies. It’s like a dream, representing Asiana Soccer School, I will bring Indonesia’s name to the Japanese football club industry,” he said at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (4/7/2023).

“With this opportunity, I hope my life’s journey will become more meaningful and of course I hope this experience will also shape my character and be useful for my future career,” continued Zahra.

Zahra was contracted by Cerezo Osaka for a year. The process of getting a contract from this Japanese club was not easy. Zahra had to undergo two trials first. The first trial for two weeks. Because it was successful, it continued to a second longer trial, three months.

Mainstay striker of the Indonesian women’s national team, Zahra Muzdalifah has officially joined the elite Japanese League club, Cerezo Osaka Yanmar Ladies.

“In Japan, I will not target goals later, I will be selfish instead. The most important thing is to play well, the goals will also come by themselves. I have prepared myself with full training for three months. My target is not only to be in the team, but to shine in Japan,” said Zahra.

Zahra’s success in breaking into the Japanese League could not be separated from the collaboration between Asiana Soccer School and Cerezo Osaka. Zahra was signed by Cerezo because he was considered to have all the good qualifications to become a footballer. Not only skills, Zahra’s attitude on and off the field also satisfied Cerezo.

“We have seen Zahra’s attitude and attitude towards the team. She is also physically strong compared to the others. As a striker, she also has an instinct for scoring goals. Zahra’s presence is able to break the ice in the team where most of the other players are still stiff because they come to the academy,” concluded Club President Cerezo Osaka Hiroaki Morishima.
