CS:GO Indonesia National Team Passes Asia Pacific Qualification, Ready to Compete at IESF WEC 2023

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Indonesian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) National Esports Team, has successfully continued its journey at the IESF 15th World Esports Championship, after qualifying for the Asia Pacific continental qualifier.

This success was achieved after the Indonesian CS: GO National Team won second place in the Group B standings for the Asia Pacific Continental Qualification.

Quoting a press release, Sunday (16/7/2023), the CS: GO Esports National Team managed to beat Pakistan with a score of 16-11, Australia with a score of 16-7, and Palestine with a score of 16-8.

The Indonesian squad lost once in a fierce match against the Mongolian team with a score of 19-22, which managed to achieve a perfect victory in the group stage.

Besides Indonesia, five other countries that also qualified for the 15th IESF World Esports Championship are Mongolia, Palestine, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia.

IESF National Team Coach Richard Permana said the National Team had proven its quality, by achieving one of the highest finishes in terms of the win-loss ratio and the difference in kills.

He said this strengthened optimism for Indonesia’s chances at the IESF WEC 2023.

“Of course, we will not be careless and continue to improve Indonesia’s performance to be able to compete with the best teams from around the world,” he concluded.

Justin Wilhem, a member of the CS:GO National Team for the IESF World Esports Championship, said that they received more support than expected.

“This certainly has a very positive impact on the team’s performance, and we are even more determined to face the upcoming IESF 15th World Esports Championships,” he said.
