Enea Bastianini Fastest in Portugal MotoGP Practice 2024, Marc Marquez Third

Liputan6.com, Jakarta- Ducati Lenovo racer Enea Bastianini was the fastest in the 2024 Portugal MotoGP Practice which took place Friday (22/3/2024) evening WIB. Marc Marquez also achieved positive results by finishing third.

This hour-long practice session concluded free practice throughout Friday and was very important. This is because the top 10 racers will immediately qualify for the second qualifying session the following day.

Rookie Pedro Acosta and veteran racer Aleix Espargaro dropped out of the top 10 and had to take part in the first qualifying session.

Brad Binder took the lead in the first 10 minutes of this Practice session. Marc Marquez started to break into second place when the practice session was halfway through.

Marquez then became the fastest with a time of 1:38.559 minutes. However, in the last 10 minutes, Enea Bastianini raced with a score of 1:38.057 minutes.

In the remaining time Marquez failed to surpass Bastianini. The young Spaniard had a crash at the end so he couldn't improve his time record.

As a result of falling, Marc Marquez finally had to settle for finishing in third place. KTM racer Jack Miller took advantage of the situation to finish second behind Bastianini.

World champion Francesco Bagnaia had to settle for eighth place. Meanwhile, Jorge Martin is in fourth place.
