Erick Thohir Assists Former National Team Goalkeeper Kurnia Meiga with Business Capital and Home Renovations

– PSSI Chairperson, Erick Thohir provided business capital support, medical expenses, and home renovations to former national team player, Kurnia Meiga. This assistance was channeled through the Indonesian Football Bakti Foundation program which was founded by PSSI.

Erick revealed that his intention from the beginning of meeting Meiga was to offer him the opportunity to open a business, but with the condition that Meiga must study first. He stated this in a press conference held at the Danareksa Tower on Wednesday (5/7/2023).

The assistance provided is in the form of a collaboration with the Magu Magu Chicken franchise restaurant which is planned to start at the end of this month. This assistance will include initial training, assistance during the sales process, and will enable Meiga to run its business independently.

“I helped by buying a license franchises and provide working capital. Of course, Mba Jenny (owner of Magu Magu Kitchen) is committed to providing assistance because not everyone has the ability to open a business,” added Erick.

In addition to business capital support, the General Chairperson of PSSI will also provide visual aids and carry out house renovations for Meiga.

“I am very grateful to Mr. Erick Thohir as General Chair of PSSI who has provided a lot of assistance for health, home renovations and the opportunity to own the franchise,” said Meiga.

Apart from medical treatment, Meiga also stated that he would still try alternative medicine independently.

“Apart from taking medical treatment with the help of Pak Erick, we will also try alternative treatments. We don’t know what God will line up. If God gives healing so that I can see again, I will be active again in playing football,” he added.
