ISIS Threatens to Attack Spectators in Champions League Quarter-Final Match

Reports of an attack by ISIS were revealed by the Spanish media, Marca, and spread across a number of major media in the country.

It said authorities in Britain, France and Spain had received news of threats from ISIS. However, they still believed they had the situation under control.

Al Azaim, an organization that communicates on behalf of ISIS, has occasionally released images of people wearing balaclavas with rifles and the words “kill them all” displayed in the background of four stadiums watching matches this week.

There are four Champions League quarter-final matches being held this week. Emirates Stadium will present the Arsenal vs Bayern Munich match, the Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona match at the Parc des Princes, Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund at the Metropolitano, and Real Madrid vs Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spanish government is aware of the threat. However, no changes are planned for the match in Madrid. High-level security has been implemented for the match.

Security forces have also warned people at Real Madrid about the threat. This is not the first time ISIS has threatened to attack sporting events in Europe and Western countries.
