Losing for the 12th time against Axelsen, Ginting is only the runner-up at the Indonesia Open

– The host’s men’s singles, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, only became runner-up in the 2023 Indonesia Open after surrendering to the Danish representative, Viktor Axelsen, at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Sunday (18/6/2023).

The second ranked men’s singles failed to become a champion after being defeated by Axelsen with a score of 14-21, 13-21. Ginting failed to overcome this world number one player after struggling for 46 minutes.

This defeat made Ginting unable to improve his record against Axelsen. This was Ginting’s 12th defeat in 16 meetings against Axelsen. This is also the 10th defeat in a row that Ginting experienced against the Danish representative.
