Menpora Dito Aims for 60 Gold Medals at the 2023 SEA Games
Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo targets the Red and White Team to win 60 gold medals at the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia. This also maintains third place in the final medal standings.
He ensured that it would be difficult for Indonesia to defend its acquisition of the 69 gold medals it won at the 2021 Vietnam SEA Games because many of Indonesia’s potential sports were not contested at this event. Then, the classes that are contested for the classes owned by Merah Putih also have the potential to disappear.
“We have analyzed the possibility and potential to lose 39 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games Cambodia 2023. This is based on a number of factors that have been studied,” he said during the inauguration of the contingent at the 32nd SEA Games Cambodia at the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) ), Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/5/2023).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) Raja Sapta Oktohari, Deputy I Chairperson of the Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Suwarno, Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian Contingent Lexyndo Hakim as well as athletes and officials of the Indonesian Team who went to SEA Games 2023 Cambodia.
The Indonesian Team Contingent at the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia was strengthened by 599 athletes who appeared in 31 sports (sports). Menpora Dito is targeting 60 gold medals to be brought home for this
Regarding sports and the athletes who departed, they had already gone through selection and review from a team consisting of academics, practitioners and also representatives from KONI and KOI.
