Meta Will Release OpenAI’s ChatGPT Competitor In Late 2023

WhatsApp announced three new security features for its users, one of which allows WhatsApp application users to verify devices.

Quoting its press release, Saturday (15/4/2023), WhatsApp also revealed that these three newest security features will be released in the coming months.

“At WhatsApp, we believe that your messages should be as private and secure as a live conversation,” wrote the messaging application owned by the social media company Meta.

“Protecting your private messages using end-to-end encryption is the foundation of that security, and we’ll never stop building new features to give you an added layer of privacy, as well as more control over your messages,” he said.

The following are three new security features in the WhatsApp application, which are scheduled to start rolling out in a few months:

“From now on, we may ask your old device to verify that you want to perform this step as an additional security check,” WhatsApp said.

WhatsApp’s new feature can also help warn users if there are unauthorized attempts to move accounts to other devices.

hatsApp says mobile device malware is one of the biggest threats to people’s privacy and security, as it can take advantage of phones without permission, and use the WhatsApp app to send unwanted messages.

Therefore, WhatsApp will add a check feature to help authenticate user accounts without the need for any action, and better protect them, if the device is compromised.
