Netflix confirmed that an animated series of Stranger Things is already in the works

As the end of the popular and successful Stranger Things approaches with its fifth season, the creators, the Duffer brothers, announced that they are already working on a new animated series set in that universe that will also arrive on Netflix. Read more here!

If a franchise is doing well, it is likely that the creators, producers and companies behind it decide to squeeze it as hard as they can. A clear example is stranger thingsextremely popular series of Netflix which will not only have a play and spin-off, but will also have an animated show.

Once stranger things air its fifth and final season, Netflix won’t let that story starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Noah Schnapp (among others) stay there. So far it is unknown what the animated series will be about, but it is expected that it will further expand the verse of stranger things and set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, plagued by paranormal events and an alternate dimension known as the Upside Down.

This animated series of stranger things joins the other projects that Netflix has in development related to this universe. Let’s remember that they will do a play, called Stranger Things: The First Shadow, and a live-action spin-off. Added to this, of course, is the fifth and final season of the original series, about which little or nothing is known.
