Officially Handles PSG, Here Are Luis Enrique’s Comments on Mbappe and Neymar

– The new Paris Saint Germain (PSG) coach, Luis Enrique, opened his voice about the future of his two flagship players, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, at the French club.

Luis Enrique was officially appointed to take charge of the Ligue 1 champions after sacking coach Christophe Galtier. The former Barcelona and Spain coach has a two-year contract with PSG.

The 53-year-old, who has been a free agent since being sacked as Spain coach last December, was unveiled by PSG in a press conference alongside the Qatar-backed club president, Nasser al-Khelaifi, at their new training complex in Poissy, northwest French capital.

“I thank the President for trusting me, I am happy to be here as PSG coach, getting to know a new language and an extraordinary city,” said Luis Enrique.

Luis Enrique was also asked about the fate of PSG’s two main players, Mbappe and Neymar. “Everything is still open. I can not reveal anything because we will work in teams and we will do it quietly,” he said.

“He (Mbappe) has a contract and we don’t know what will happen next because a lot of things happen during the transfer window.”

As for how PSG will play, Enrique stated, “An attacking mentality is non-negotiable. You have to adapt to the characteristics of the players and, as a coach, I’m sure the players will enjoy it”.

As for how PSG will perform next season, the tactician says he has spoken to Luis Campos (PSG’s transfer adviser) about new signings.

“We have worked closely with Luis Campos in the preparations squad so far. We had talks last week and we believe we will have squad competitive,” he said.

As for Neymar, the 53-year-old coach said he still has to talk to him, as well as several other PSG players.

“I haven’t spoken to him. I have only spoken to Nuno Mendes and (Nordi) Mukiele. We’ll see what happens. There will be changes. There is a clear style of play and we want people to enjoy every week,” he said.
