PSIS Semarang Schedules Tryouts Against Cambodian League Champion

– PSIS Semarang has scheduled a friendly match against Cambodian League champions, Phnom Penh Crown FC. This is part of their preparation for the next season of the Indonesian League 1.

PSIS Semarang CEO AS Sukawijaya said that this trial match would be an important moment to launch their first team that will compete in the upcoming season.

“We have scheduled a trial match against one of the best teams from Cambodia, as well as a team launch,” Yoyok Sukawi said, his nickname was quoted as saying by Antara, Friday (16/6/2023).

However, Yoyok Sukawi cannot confirm the exact date of this match.

He explained that they are currently in the process of obtaining permits and finalizing the necessary administration for the match, which is planned to be held at Semarang’s Jatidiri Stadium.

“The match date will be announced once the permitting and administrative processes are complete,” he added.

Previously, PSIS had held a number of trial matches in preparation for next season, including matches against Persik Kendal and Persijap Jepara.

As a team that is ranked 13th in the Indonesian League 1 standings for the 2022/2023 season, PSIS has recruited several new players, including three additional foreign players to fulfill the available quota.
