Rashford Will Become United’s Highest Paid Player

– Manchester United (MU) striker Marcus Rashford is set to become the Red Devils’ highest-paid player with a lucrative new contract.

The England international scored 30 goals in all competitions during the 2022-23 season including 17 goals in the Premier League and made him the Red Devils’ top goalscorer.

As well as his individual success, Rashford helped Man United end a six-year trophy drought in the EFL Cup, as well as qualify for the 2023-24 Champions League.

In December, Man United offered Rashford a contract extension to prevent him from leaving for free this summer.

Seeing his contribution and role so far, Man United is seeking a long-term extension with a big salary increase. An agreement is believed to be reached soon.

Reports that Rashford is asking £500,000-a-week to sign a contract have been dismissed by the forward, however, according to The Sunhe will still be pocketing a club record salary on his new terms.

Currently the 25-year-old player earns a weekly wage of £ 200,000. With his new contract, Rashford will earn £ 375,000 per week, exceeding David de Gea’s salary of £ 350,000.

Rashford is believed to see his future at Old Trafford after rediscovering his goal touch. Coach Erik Ten Hag was always sure that he would extend his contract.

This English player has defended Man United for 18 years since joining their academy in 2005. In total, Rashford has now collected 123 goals and 68 assists from 359 matches in all competitions.
