Reasons Twitter Limits User Viewable Tweets: For the sake of deleting spam and preventing data from being retrieved by AI
Previously, Elon Musk suddenly changed Twitter’s policy, by limiting the number of tweets that can be read by users.
Through posting on his personal Twitter account, Elon Musk said, unverified (or unpaid) users can only read 600 tweets per day, then increase it to 800 tweets, then increase to 1,000.
Whereas new users are not verified, they can only read 300 tweets, then it is increased to 400.
Reported BBCSunday (2/7/2023), verified Twitter users are also limited, where they can only read 6,000 tweets, then increase to 8,000, and add another 10,000.
Quoted from a tweet on Twitter, Elon said this action was taken because of the large amount of data taken (scraping) from the social media platform.
