Returning Eid Al-Fitr, Motorcyclists “Master” the Cirebon Arterial Route

The return flow on the Cirebon City Arterial Route, West Java, to be precise at the Pemuda intersection, was observed to be busy smoothly on D+5 Eid 2023, Thursday (27/4/2023) evening.

The return flow of vehicles crossing the Cirebon Arterial Route from Central Java to Jakarta is still dominated by travelers using two-wheeled vehicles.

Based on data from the Cirebon City Transportation Service, until this afternoon there were around 65,988 vehicles passing on the Cirebon Arterial Route. Of these, 55,589 vehicles were dominated by travelers using wheeled vehicles.

This was also disclosed by the Head of Youth Pospam, Iptu Rudiana, who said that the traffic flow from Jakarta and Central Java had an increase in vehicle volume.

“For the flow of traffic from Java to Jakarta and vice versa, it is quite lively, there is an increase in vehicle volume, but there is no density,” he said.

As for the vehicles passing on the arterial route from Central Java, said Rusdiana, they were dominated by two-wheeled vehicles.

“For vehicles from Java to Jakarta are dominated by two-wheeled vehicles, for the opposite direction because it is still being enforced one way still dominated by four-wheeled vehicles,” he said.

Reducing the density of reverse traffic, police officers carried out traffic engineering by prioritizing the route from Jakarta.

“For traffic engineering, we prioritize vehicles from Jakarta, if there is a crowd, we will divert other traffic so that the route from Jakarta runs smoothly,” he explained.

The increase in vehicle return volume on the Arterial Route is expected to continue to increase until Sunday night.
