Rumored to not get along with Kylian Mbappe, this is Luis Enrique's response

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique emphasized that his relationship with Kylian Mbappe is fine, while dismissing rumors that there was incompatibility between the two after the French striker expressed his desire to leave Paris.

The issue of dispute between the coach and the player arose after Mbappe refused to extend his contract. As a result, Enrique reduced Mbappe's playing time and placed him on the bench several times.

Mbappe, who is a member of the French national team and of Cameroonian descent, showed an expression of disappointment after being substituted in the Le Classique match against Marseille on Monday (1/4/2024). At that time PSG won 2-0.

When asked for his response regarding Mbappe's attitude when he left the field, Luis Enrique stated, “I am curious about all the information circulating, which actually comes from fake news.”

“Someone has spread lies (based on the video of Mbappe leaving the field) and from there various speculations have emerged,” said the former Barcelona and Spanish national team coach.

Enrique then emphasized that his relationship with Mbappe remains fine and he still hopes that the player will consider extending his contract with PSG for next season.

“I face it with calm. I am very satisfied with all my players, including Kylian Mbappe, who always behaves in an admirable way,” said Luis Enrique.

Despite many rumors about his move to Real Madrid, Mbappe has not actually made an official statement regarding his future for the coming year.

“We are all in the same boat, sailing together and looking for success,” said Luis Enrique about PSG's bid for three titles this season.

“I want everything to end well for PSG, for Kylian, for everyone,” he added.
