SEA Games 2023: Enough Rest, U-22 National Team Ready to Face Myanmar

– The coach of the Indonesian U-22 national team, Indra Sjafri emphasized the readiness of the Garuda Nusantara squad to face the second match of Group A of the 2023 SEA Games against Myanmar at the Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh, Thursday (4/5/2023).

“Myanmar played yesterday and tomorrow, Thursday (4/5) will play again. As for the national team players, we can see. Everything is ready,” said Indra Sjafri after leading the training at The Dream Visakha Training Camp Field, Phnom Penh, Wednesday (3/5 /2023) quoted Between.

Previously, in the first match, the Indonesian U-22 national team managed to beat the Philippines 3-0 on Saturday (29/4). Practically Pratama Arhan and his friends have a long rest period of four days.

For Myanmar, despite the successful 1-0 win over Timor Leste, his physical condition was clearly drained. However, Indra asked his players to stay focused because anything could happen on the field.

Indra admitted that he had seen the Myanmar game first hand. “That’s why in this last training we are trying to prepare the best. The players are also ready and no one is injured,” added Indra Sjafri.
