Liverpool vs Fulham Line Up Prediction: Thiago and Jota Absent, Henderson Starter
– The Liverpool vs Fulham match at Anfield, Thursday (4/5/2023) at 02.00 WIB will test consistency The Reds unbeaten in the last six matches. Even though the chances of finishing in the Champions League zone are slim, Liverpool will not just give up.
Liverpool are currently in fifth place with 56 points, seven points adrift of Manchester United in fourth.
In the match later, Liverpool will not be strengthened by Diogo Jota, who scored the winning goal over Tottenham Hotspur in the last game. The Portugal international is doubtful after picking up a knock and missing training.
“He had a knock on his back against West Ham, bruised ribs, couldn’t train before the (Tottenham) game but was able to play without an injection or whatever, but got another knock on coming on,” coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed.
Meanwhile, Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino have returned to training. But they are still not fit to compete and will likely be absent. “Bobby (was) training, he was looking good, not ready for the game but doing more and more so (we) are waiting for him in team training again. Pretty much the same for Naby. I think that’s about it. Long term injury of course , they are not involved,” said Klopp.
Jordan Henderson looks set to start here in Thiago’s absence. Fabinho will continue to play as a defensive midfielder. Curtis Jones is likely to be back in the starting line-up after performing well against Tottenham and scoring a goal.
Jones will look to add creativity up front, while Henderson will look to provide cover at the back. Cody Gakpo will lead the Reds’ front line here with Mohamed Salah on the right and Luis Diaz on the left.
Liverpool line-up prediction: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Wrong, Gapo, Diaz.
