Second edition of Picos Geek Show takes place this weekend – Cidades na Net

Pop culture has revolutionized the world by presenting a new universe with films, comic books, cartoons, series and other products, which value diversity and inclusion. And this is the proposal for the 2nd edition of the Picos Geek Show (PGS), an event that will be held on the 6th and 7th of April, at the Picoense Clube space, from 2pm to 10pm.

For the director of Events and Sponsorships at the Piauí Tourism Secretariat (Setur), Eduardo Santos, the Picos Geek Show demonstrates how strong and diverse the state is in relation to event tourism. Through actions like this, it is possible to provide people and tourists with new, modern attractions that encompass any and all audiences.

“Piauí has ​​hosted events that cover the most varied tourist audiences. This is something very positive, as it demonstrates our potential, and how welcoming and receptive we are. And the Picos Geek Show has an innovative and current proposal, which will certainly attract young tourists and expand views on that region and its potential”, highlights director Eduardo Santos.

The Picos Geek Show program is full of activities, with PC and video game championships, and cosplay, cospobre, drawing and K-Pop contests, and a PGS quiz. There will also be musical performances by attractions such as Cibelle Barros, Ensaio Aberto and PeJota, as well as moments with voice actors and art exhibitions in paintings, comics, books and drawings.

The event will also provide other spaces where a variety of activities will take place, including live game broadcasts, desktop computers for PC championships, tables with video games for FreePlay, Just Dance, karaoke, a geek product fair and a food court.
