Sir Jim Ratcliffe Denies Sheikh Jassim Has Won Takeover Of Manchester United

Sir Jim Ratcliffe says he has a good offer for the Glazers to take over Manchester United. “We have a good offer and we have met with the Glazers several times,” he said.

“We’ve had good discussions with them. We still really want to do it. And we’ll do it for the right reasons. But in the end it’s their decision not ours.”

“Teams don’t come around very often. There are some special teams and their value tends to go up. The value of a team like this is very special and rare – it’s like a work of art,” the British billionaire added.

“I don’t think the world of sport will change much in the next ten years. This is one of our main interests – getting players into the pub and football is one of the two or three topics we talk about.”

“This is football. We have worked very hard all our lives. Now we have made a little money, so you can have fun, as long as it makes sense economically,” concluded Ratcliffe.
