Arsenal to Sell Five Players in the Summer Transfer Market

– Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta, is preparing to sell five players this summer. Arteta is determined that his team can continue their development from this season to the next.

Although Arsenal are no longer the favorites to win the Premier League, Arteta is planning a squad cleanup that will allow him to add more quality and depth to his squad in the transfer window.

According to The Mirrors, the five players to be sold are Folarin Balogun, Reiss Nelson, Nicholas Pepe, Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari. The planned sale of Balogun could be the biggest surprise given his impressive form while on loan to France this season.

Top of the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts, Balogun may be hoping for a first-team opportunity with Arsenal next season.

One more player who is currently rumored to be leaving is Granit Xhaka. The Sun say that Bayer Leverkusen have made contact with the midfielder, who has one year left on his contract.

Arteta will not stand in Xhaka’s way as Arsenal seek to land West Ham captain Declan Rice. Bayer’s interest could make a swap involving winger Moussa Diaby possible.
