The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Totally Failed, Game Studio Daedalic Entertainment went out of business

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Bad reviews and the failure of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum in the market, made Daedalic Entertainment decide to close the studio that made the game.

Apart from closing his game studio in Hamburg, Germany, Daedalic also stopped developing other games adapted from The Lord of the Rings franchise.

With their game studio out of business, Daedalic Entertainment will stop making games and focus entirely on business publishing or publishing.

“Although The Lord of the Rings: Gollum not live up to the expectations we had for the game, we are very grateful for the opportunity and learning experience it gave us.”

“Currently, we are working on another patch for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Continuation projects in The Lord of the Rings universe that have started will be discontinued,” they said, citing PolygonFriday (7/7/2023).

Further, quoted from Eurogamersas many as 25 employees were also laid off (PHK) as a result of the company’s decision.
