This is a list of Xiaomi and Poco cellphones that will receive the HyperOS update

In its latest update, Xiaomi announced that it had removed one of the favorite features of users of their devices running HyperOS.

Quoted from Gizmochina, the HyperOS feature that was removed was the ability to play videos in the background, even though the screen is off.

According to Xiaomi, this feature was removed via an update that has been rolled out to users running HyperOS, including several devices that still run MIUI such as MIUI 12, MIUI 13, and MIUI 14.

With the removal of this feature, Xiaomi device users who were previously able to play videos in the background, including when the screen was off, can no longer do so.

According to Xiaomi, this feature was removed to comply with established regulations. It is possible that one of the companies asking for this is Google.

The reason is, Google actually offers this capability through YouTube Premium. So, players who have a paid YouTube subscription can still listen to videos, even if the screen is off.
