Winning narrowly against Vietnam, STY explains the reasons why the Indonesian national team broke in the first round

Garuda Squad Coach Shin Tae-yong revealed the reason why his team tended to be disorganized in the first half of the match against Vietnam. The South Korean tactician assessed that the lack of training time and the arrival of new naturalized players were the reasons why the Indonesian national team was less than coherent during the first 45 minutes.

“In the first half (the Indonesian National Team's performance) wasn't very good, but I also think we weren't that bad. In the first half we were perhaps less united because there were several players who were playing for the first time and had not trained long enough,” said Shin Tae-yong in press conference after the match at SUGBK, Thursday (21/3/2024) evening WIB.

“Meanwhile in the second half, (the Garuda squad) became more compact because they had been playing for longer, so they were able to show their best performance,” continued the tactician from South Korea.
