A number of homework assignments from the Ministry of Communication and Information towards the end of President Joko Widodo's administration

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Advanced Indonesia Cabinet under President Joko Widodo's government will end in less than a year. Towards the end of the administration, the Ministry of Communication and Information (Communications and Information) also stated that there was still a number of homework assignments (PR) that would still be accelerated.

One of them, according to President Joko Widodo's instructions, according to Deputy Minister of Communication and Information (Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Communication and Information) Nezar Patria, is to complete the construction of 4G BTS in 3T (disadvantaged, frontier and outermost) areas. Apart from that, he also said that there are several regulations being pursued, including ensuring that connectivity is well maintained.

“Then, support infrastructure development and interoperability in an effort to create an electronic-based government system,” he said when meeting with media crew.

In this case, the Ministry of Communication and Information is collaborating with a number of ministries to form SPBE (Electronic Based Government System). As previously reported, Kominfo revealed that the government will have a public service platform called Ina Digital.

Ina Digital itself is the name of the integrated platform in SPBE which has been determined by President Joko Widodo. This platform is an effort to digitally transform public services for the community.

“Well, that's one of the targets we are achieving, especially collaborating with other ministries and institutions so that SPBE can be caught up before October,” he explained.

Nezar further said that his party plans to at least launch the platform first. Because, Kominfo itself has collaborated with Kemenpan-RB.

“At least it can be-launch first, that's why we have formed a task force in collaboration with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform to encourage, speed-up“, accelerating several important priorities to be carried out, towards launching before this October,” he said.

Then regarding the PDP (Personal Data Protection) Law, the Ministry of Communication and Information is also regulating Government Regulations. Apart from that, there is also a draft regarding the issue of artificial intelligence in the form of a Ministerial Regulation or Presidential Regulation.
