Fajar/Rian Contribute Points, Indonesia vs Thailand 1-3 in the Sudirman Cup

“Alhamdulillah, we were able to finish the match without injury and win. Even though Indonesia was behind 0-3, I didn’t want to let my guard down. We stay fight to finish the match,” explained Fajar.

He stated, even though they lost to Thailand, the main thing is that Indonesia has entered the quarterfinals.

“About the opponents in the quarter-finals, we don’t know yet. But one thing is clear, whoever the opponent is, we are ready to face it. As runner up group, Indonesia is ready to meet the group winner. It sure is heavy. But we don’t want to give up and give up.”

The Indonesian badminton team lost 0-3 to Thailand, this result made Indonesia lose the opportunity to lead in Group B.

Defeat was confirmed after Indonesia’s women’s singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani, was defeated by Pornpawee Chochuwong in three games 21-15, 14-21, 17-21.

Previously, Indonesia was trailing 2-0 after Jonatan Christie’s men’s badminton lost to Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidasrn in a three-game match with a score of 21-12, 12-21 and 20-22.

With Jojo’s defeat, Indonesia is temporarily behind Thailand 0-2.

Previously, the mixed doubles pair Dejan Ferdinandsyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja lost when they faced Dechapol Puanvaranukroh/Sapsiree 17-21, 19-21.

“Earlier in games First, when we were 11-5 up, we didn’t anticipate the changing pattern of the opponent’s game. When overtaken by an opponent, our game doesn’t work and we get confused ourselves. In the second game, when we were 17-12 up, we played too carefully. When the opponent changes the pattern of play, we actually have anticipated.
