Fornas Esports 2023 Unites Competition, Culture and Music

– The National Entertainment Sports Festival (Fornas) Esports which will be held on 5-6 July 2023 at the Sudirman Grand Ballroom Bandung, West Java carries a different concept compared to the previous year

Fornas Esports, which is professionally managed by the Indonesian Esports Association (IESPA), said IESPA President RM Ibnu Riza Pradipto this time, is a combination of competition, music and culture.

“Melody of Victory is a combination of our ideas and dreams to connect sports competition with gamer culture. We carry the spirit of difference in gamer culture who love electronic sports, music and also Japanese culture such as anime, cosplays and others,” said Ibnu.

This event wants to show the world that esport is not just a competition, but also has a culture and lifestyle.

A number of well-known musicians such as Weird Genuis, Vieratale and Luthfi Halimawan also enlivened this event.

In addition, IESPA succeeded in making Fornas Esports a sports industry and sports tourism according to the wishes of the government, in this case the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).

IESPA must carry out a elimination process for 2,000 teams from 24 provinces registered to become 96 teams with 900 athletes. They followed the four numbers that were contested namely MLBB, PUBGM, E-Football and Tekken.

Not only that, Fornas Esport also stimulated the economy. This is because there are 42 booths at the venue, including sponsor booths, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), fashion and the Japanese community.

“E-sports is the sports industry and sports tourism. And I hope that electronic sports can improve the economy through the digital economy,” said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno in his virtual remarks.

President of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Sandiaga Uno, Bambang Soesatyo even said that the digital industry’s revenue would reach IDR 30 trillion in 2021.

“The number of internet users has reached 200 million and the digital industry’s revenue will reach IDR 30 trillion in 2021. I hope that value can grow again,” said Bamsoet, virtual’s nickname.
