Hakimi red card, PSG humiliated by Lorient at Parc de Princes

PSG defender Achraf Hakimi received a red card in the 20th minute in the French League continuation against Lorient, Sunday (30/4/2023). PSG was humiliated in front of their supporters by Lorient. PSG gave up 1-3 at Parc de Princes.

Before the Moroccan defender was sent off, Lorient had taken the lead through Enzo Le Fee in the 15th minute.

Five minutes after Le Fee’s goal, Hakimi was sent off by the referee. The Spanish-born player received a second yellow card from the referee after a sharp challenge on full-back Darlin Yongwa.

However, playing with 10 players, PSG were able to equalize through Kylian Mbappe in the 29th minute.

However, the visitors were able to win the match after being able to add two goals through Darlin Yongwa and Bamba Dieng.

Despite the collapse, PSG is still in first place in the French League standings. Lionel Messi et al gained 75 points from 33 matches, while Lorient rose to 10th place with 48 points.

Appearing in front of his supporters, PSG was slightly superior in ball possession by recording 54 percent. However, Lorient was more effective in playing by releasing 14 shots at goal, seven of which were on target.

Despite acting as a guest team, Lorient appeared brave. They continue to put pressure on the opponent. The first attempt was released by Ibrahima Koné, but the ball was still far from the target.
