Indonesia Determined to Maintain Golden Tradition at the 2024 Olympics

Liputan6.com, Jakarta- The 2024 Olympics are only four months away from being held in Paris, France. Indonesia is determined to maintain its tradition of winning gold medals. Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Anindya Novyan Bakrie, reminded the need for collective spirit and cooperation of all sports stakeholders in order to make Indonesia Raya ring out in Paris.

To unite the enthusiasm of sports stakeholders in Indonesia to face the 2024 Olympics, Anindya held a gathering and dialogue entitled “Maintaining the Collective Spirit Towards a Flying Red and White” which discussed the Indonesian Team's readiness for the 2024 Paris Olympics at The Convergence Indonesia (TCI) Building, Jakarta, Monday 25 March 2024 .

Also present in this dialogue were athletes such as Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, Chairman of the Central KONI Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Marciano Norman, Chairman of NOC Indonesia Raja Sapta Oktohari, sports leaders such as Chairman of PB Perpani Arsjad Rasyid, Chairman of FPTI Yenny Wahid, Chairman of PB Persani Ita Yuliati Irawan, Chair of the 2024 Road To Olympic Working Group & Task Force who is also Secretary General of PBSI Fadil Imran.

Also present were representatives of athletes who had qualified for the Olympics, namely Arif Dwi Pangestu and Diananda Choirunisa from archery, as well as Rifda Irfanaluthfi from artistic gymnastics who was accompanied by a coach/manager.

On this occasion, Anindya emphasized that in Paris the Indonesian contingent must maintain the gold medal tradition. To achieve this goal, Anindya said there was a need for synergy between the Ministry of Youth and Sports, KOI, KONI and the federation to prepare athletes as best as possible.

“There is great enthusiasm towards the 2024 Olympics, we call (the goal) Red and White fluttering, Indonesia Raya resounding. Because for that to happen we need gold, of course that is not grandiose but we want to maintain the tradition so that Indonesia Raya can continue to resound,” ” said Anindya Bakrie.

“As CdM I invite everyone to unite, together maintain our collective spirit to face the 2024 Paris Olympics. This is not one party's struggle but our collective struggle to make the nation proud,” explained Anin.
