Jane Fonda feels strong in the run-up to cancer treatment

Jane Fonda – The 84-year-old Jane Fonda will soon be treated for lymph node cancer and is confident of a good outcome.

“I am deeply moved by all the love and support I have received,” writes the actress Wednesday in a blog post on her website.

She was recently diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma). “I want to say again that this is a treatable form of cancer,” Fonda explains. “A lot of progress is being made with the drugs that patients receive.”

The actress says that she has received many reactions from people who have had the same disease and have been cancer-free for many decades. “Soon I will be 85,” writes Fonda. “So I don’t have to worry about ‘many decades’. One is already fine for me.”

Fonda still has about three weeks to go until her first chemotherapy. “I have to say that I have not felt so strong in years,” writes the actress. “According to the doctor, the best way to cure the fatigue after chemotherapy is to move. I already walk a lot. Very early, before the record heat starts. And I do fitness exercises.”

It is not the first time that Fonda has been treated for cancer. The actress has had breast cancer several times and had one of her breasts removed in 2016. “I’ve always come through it well and I’m going to do that again now,” Fonda writes.
