Japan Open 2023: 6 Indonesian representatives play today, Chico faces Israeli players

Tokyo, Todaysgist.com – Six Indonesian representatives will start their struggle in the first round of the 2023 Japan Open, Tuesday (25/7/2023) at the Yoyogi Gymnasium.

In men’s singles, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, who will play on court 4, meets Israeli player, Misha Zillberman, who has made it through the qualifying round. This will be the first meeting for Chico with the 33rd ranked BWF player.

In the mixed doubles, Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti immediately faced a tough opponent, the home pair, Yuta Watanabe/Arisha Higashino. The meeting statistics are still superior to Yuta/Arisha 3-2.

In addition, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati will face the Hong Kong pair, Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet. This will be the first meeting of the two couples.

From the men’s doubles, Mohammad Ahsan / Hendra Setiawan faced Korean doubles, Kim Gi Jung Kim Sa Rang. Ahsan/Hendra is predicted to win considering that in the last eight meetings, Ahsan/Hendra won six times.
