The futsal field is about 38-42 meters long and about 20-25 meters wide, while the soccer field is about 100-110 meters long and about 64-75 meters wide. The smaller size of the field in futsal results in a faster and more intensive game.

Number of Players

Another difference is the number of players playing in the two sports. In futsal, each team consists of five players, including one goalkeeper. Whereas in soccer, each team usually consists of eleven players, including one goalkeeper. The smaller number of players in futsal affects the dynamics of the game, allowing smaller spaces to be utilized more effectively.

Ball Type

The ball used in futsal is also different from the ball used in soccer. Futsal balls are smaller in size and lighter in weight than soccer balls. Futsal balls are usually made of leather or synthetic materials and are about 62-64 cm in circumference, while soccer balls are about 68-70 cm in circumference. The difference in the size and weight of the ball affects the control and technique of the game.

Match Duration

The duration of the game is also different between futsal and football. In futsal, matches usually consist of two halves of 20 minutes each. Meanwhile, in soccer, matches usually consist of two halves with each half lasting 45 minutes. The shorter duration in futsal results in a faster and more intense game.
