Newcastle vs Arsenal First Half: Odegaard Brings The Gunners 1-0 Up

– Arsenal for a while in the first half won 1-0 over host Newcastle United in the Premier League continuation at St James Park, Sunday (7/5/2023) evening. Arsenal’s advantage was opened through Martin Odegaard’s goal in the 14th minute.

In the 21st minute, Gabriel Martinelli’s shot was saved by goalkeeper Pope. Arsenal continues to spread threats. In the 24th minute it was Bukayo Saka who got the chance but was still thwarted by goalkeeper Pope.

Newcastle replied through Joe Willock’s kick which goalkeeper Ramsdale was able to save in the 27th minute. Ramsdale made another save from Sven Botman’s header from the center of the 16th box which was saved in the 45th minute. Odegaard almost doubled the advantage when his right foot shot was still blocked by keeper Pope’s feet.

The 1-0 score for Arsenal lasted until the first half ended.
