SEA Games 2023: Evicted by Thailand, Indonesia has dropped to third place in medals

– Indonesia has dropped to third place in the 2023 SEA Games medal standings. The Indonesian contingent until Sunday evening (7/5/2023) at 23.00 WIB, has collected a total of 51 medals with details of 16 gold, 11 silver and 24 bronze.

Indonesia’s position was evicted by Thailand with a total of 59 medals namely 16 gold, 17 silver and 26 bronze. Meanwhile, the host Cambodia firmly at the top of the standings with a total of 72 medals of 29 gold, 21 silver and 22 bronze.

As for this Sunday, the Red and White squad won a gold medal in the bicycle race in the Mixed Cross Country Relay (XCR) number and vovinam athlete Manik Trisna Dewi Wetan.

Do not miss the sport of pencak silat, hockey, karate and swimming also contributed gold.

Indonesian pencak silat won two gold medals in two artistic numbers at once, namely the artistic women’s singles number and the artistic men’s team number.

The men’s indoor hockey and karate team Sandi Firmansyah, who competed in the men’s individual kumite number (-84 kg), also contributed gold to Indonesia.

From swimming, I Gede Siman Sudartawa and Masniari Wolf succeeded in marrying a gold medal in the men’s and women’s 50-meter backstroke. Indonesia also added four silver and 15 bronze on Sunday.
