Seeing the increasing controversy regarding Adipurush, Manoj had recently demanded security from the Mumbai Police, citing a threat to his life. It is being told that after Manoj, now the director of this film Om Raut has also been provided security by the police. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Om Raut was accompanied by four constables and an armed policeman in his office. However, it is not clear whether the director had requested for police protection or the police themselves provided him due to the controversy and threats. It is being told that along with Manoj Muntashir, Om Raut has also received death threats.
Let us inform that Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan and Devdutt ji Nage is based on Ramayana. The film has been mired in controversies ever since its global release on June 16. The dialogues of the film were changed from Sunday after some viewers raised objections, but the new dialogues are also not liked by the audience. According to reports, effigies of Manoj Muntashir were burnt in many parts of the country. The protesters also demanded a ban on the film.
Significantly, Adipurush got a great opening at the box office. The film did a business of 85.75 crores on the first day. However, due to bad content, its earnings are continuously recording a huge decline. According to the initial figures, the film has so far earned 260.55 crores.
