Results of Bournemouth vs Man Utd: Casemiro Ensures “Red Devils” 1-0 Victory

– Casemiro scored the only goal to win Manchester United (Man Utd) 1-0 over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, Saturday (20/5/2023). This victory made MU secure in fourth place in the standings with 69 points from 36 matches.

The match in the first half was balanced even though MU was slightly superior in ball possession and opportunities. MU directly intensified pressure in the early minutes. The first two opportunities came to Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, which unfortunately still didn’t work out.

But in the second trial, Casemiro did not waste the opportunity. The goal was scored by this Brazilian player after his right-footed shot nestled into the host’s goal in the 8th minute. MU continued to control the game.

Bournemouth slowly started to come out of the pressure. Bournemouth got their first chance in the 28th minute when Dominic Solanke was saved in the 27th minute.

Casemiro almost scored his second goal when his shot saved the keeper in the 40th minute. Bournemouth replied two minutes later through Ryan Christie’s shot which was saved.

Until the first half ended the score remained 1-0 in favor of MU.

Bournemouth tried to take the initiative to attack early in the second half. The first attempt was made by David Brooks even though his kick was secured by De Gea in the 47th minute.

MU was only able to find the rhythm of the game in the first 10 minutes of the second half being played. Experiments were carried out by Antony and Wout Weghorst, which unfortunately did not produce results.

Bruno Fernandes almost scored a goal when his shot in the 76th minute was saved by the goalkeeper. Bournemouth replied in the 84th minute through a threat from Kieffer Moore which was thwarted by goalkeeper De Gea.

No additional goals were created, MU won 1-0.
