SEA Games 2023: Indonesian Men’s and Women’s 3×3 Basketball Team Wins

– The first victory was won by the Indonesian Men’s 3×3 basketball team in the 2023 SEA Games group stage. After narrowly losing in the first match against Vietnam with a score of 18-21, the Indonesian Men’s 3×3 basketball team won with a score of 22-11 against Laos, Saturday (6/5 /2023).

Nickson Damara Gosal contributed the highest score with nine points. Followed by Avan Seputra and Muhammad Reza Fahdani Guntara with five points each, and Laurentius Steven Oei with three points.

Indonesia immediately dominated the game from the start. Far superior 12-6, Indonesia continued to excel and closed the match with a 22-11 win.

This victory made Indonesia temporarily ranked second in Group A Men’s 3×3 Basketball Number with three points, the result of one win and one loss. In first place in Group A are Vietnam, who both scored three points.

The men’s 3×3 national team will face the Philippines as the closing match of the group, and the women’s 3×3 national team will face the host team Cambodia which are both held this afternoon.

In the women’s number, victory was also achieved by defeating Malaysia 21-12. This is the second victory for the women’s national team after previously beating Singapore 21-11.

Indonesian naturalized player Kimberley Pierre Louis has again become a point machine for the Red and White team by scoring nine points.

Agustin Retong added seven points, Adelaide Callista Wongsohardjo 4 points, and Dyah Lestari 2 points.

With this victory, the Indonesian Women’s National Team is in second place in Group B Women’s 3×3 Basketball Number with four points from two matches won.
