Superlek Undaunted Faces Anane in One Friday Fights 22

– Superlek Kiatmoo9, the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing world champion, will face a tough challenge in the One Friday Fights 22 event at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium Bangkok.

The star from Thailand will face the talented debutante, Nabil Anane, in a Muay Thai fight on Friday (23/6/2023) night.

Despite being only 19 years old, Anane has achieved a number of great accomplishments. He managed to become the WBC champion at the age of 18, and controlled two divisions at once. In addition, what attracts attention is his height which reaches 188 cm, or 18 cm taller than Superlek. He also trains at the prestigious Venum Training Camp.

The fighter of Thai-Algerian descent stated that he was very ready. He is not afraid to face the best in his One Super Series debut.

“I feel this is a great opportunity for me to prove myself. I’m not afraid, and I want to win. I’m coming into the next fight without any burden, and that’s good for me,” said Anane.

Anane also knows Superlek, who is well known in Thailand. With an above average height, he is very ambitious to beat this elite striker. “My advantage over many of my opponents is my height. I have this advantage, and it will be a problem for Superlek. My height is always a problem for my opponents,” he added.

Furthermore, Anane feels very lucky to be joining ONE Championship. He also wants to achieve success like his seniors who have become One athletes beforehand.

“I see a lot of fighters from my camp, like Alaverdi Ramazanov and Sami Sana, who join ONE Championship, and that really motivates me,” explains Anane. “Now the time has come, and I am proud to pursue my dream in ONE Championship,” he concluded.

One Friday Fights 22 will also be enlivened by two World Championship fights. In the main event, Prajanchai PK.Saenchai and Sam-A Gaiyanghadao will battle for the interim ONE Strawweight Muay Thai belt. The co-main event will be no less exciting, as Arjan Bhullar and Anatoly Malykhin will battle it out in the long overdue ONE Heavyweight belt unification battle.
