Disney is going to make a third The Princess Diaries movie

The Princess Diaries – There will be a third instalment of the Princess Diaries film series . Disney will produce the film and the script is written by Aadrita Mukerji. It is not yet certain whether actresses Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews will return to reprise their roles from the first two parts.

According to The Hollywood Reporter sources , the third film will follow up on the story of the first two. Hathaway would not have signed for the sequel yet, but previously said in interviews that she would like a third Princess Diaries film.

“If there is a way to get Julie Andrews back, we have to do everything we can. Then we just travel to where she is at that moment, put a green screen behind her and make sure it works,” joked the actress before.

In the first two parts, Hathaway plays schoolgirl Mia, who finds out she is a princess in the fictional European country of Genovia. Her grandmother, played by Andrews, is the Queen.
