The team defended by Megawati Hangestri wins, Red Sparks equalizes the score at 1-1

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Red Sparks, the team defended by Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, won 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 20-25, 25-15) over Pink Spiders in the Korean Volleyball League play-off, Sunday (24/3/2024). Playing in front of their own supporters, the Red Sparks equalized 1-1 with the Pink Spiders.

In the first playoffs of the Korean Volleyball League, March 22, the Pink Spiders beat the Red Sparks 3-1 (22-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-23), at the Incheon Samsan Gymnasium.

The Korean Volleyball League play-off match was held to determine the teams that would qualify for the Korean Volleyball League final. In the match for the title, the winner of Red Sparks vs Pink Spiders will meet Hillstate who finished at the top of the regular phase.

The play-off match pits the second-placed team against the third-placed team in the regular phase of the Korean Volleyball League.

Second place in the regular phase of the Korean Volleyball League was occupied by Pink Spiders with a collection of 79 points from 36 matches, while third place was occupied by Red Sparks who gained 61 points from 36 matches.

The Red Sparks vs Pink Spiders match was held in three matches. The first is March 22 at the home of the Pink Spiders. The second play-off match of the Korean Volleyball League will be held on March 24 at the Red Sparks headquarters, and the third play-off will take place on March 26 2026.

With the score at 1-1, a deciding match was held on March 26.

The play-off winner will meet Hillstate in the final round starting March 28.

The final round of the Korean Volleyball League took place in format best of five which means there will be five matches. The winning team is the one that wins in three matches.

The first final match will be on March 28, then the second will be on March 30. Furthermore, the third final will be held on April 1, the fourth final will be on April 3. The fifth final match of the Korean Volleyball League will be held on April 5.
