Arema FC vs Persib Bandung Prediction in BRI League 1 2023/2024: Fighting for First Victory on the Island of the Gods

Arema FC, which has just built its strength during the pre-season, is not afraid of the Persib star-studded team. Singo Edan’s trainer, Joko Susilo is optimistic that his troops can provide fierce resistance.

“We are facing Persib, a star-studded club, okay, we also manage that, they are a very good team, especially for one year they have been with the same coach (Luis Milla), we are just building but that doesn’t mean we have to be discouraged,” said Joko as quoted from New Indonesian League official website.

Joko does not close his eyes that the opposing team does have an abundance of material. The Maung Bandung squad is inhabited by many top players with above average individual abilities.

In contrast to Arema under the hands of Joko, who had just built his squad during the pre-season. Singo Edan can be said to have just overhauled his squad and replaced it with new players, including the ranks of the foreign legion, which on average can be said to be relatively new to the League 1 scene.

However, the new regulations for foreign players that apply 5+1 and the obligation to play U-23 players make Joko calmer. According to him, this rule makes the team’s strength more evenly distributed.

“In the current competition there are six foreign players (5+1) with one player born in 2001 who played 45 minutes. So I think this is where our strengths are almost even now, so we are not single. Now everyone is on the same level, we have faith, we have confidence myself to compete with Persib,” Joko added.
