Beat Everton, Newcastle Stay in the Rankings of Three in the Standings

Appearing in away matches, the Newcastle United club was able to beat hosts Everton 4-1 at the Goodison Park Stadium, Liverpool, Friday (28/4/2023) early morning WIB. The results it brings The Magpies remain in third place in the Premier League standings.

In that match, Newcastle took the lead thanks to two goals from Callum Wilson, Joelinton and Jacob Murphy, while Everton managed to reply through Dwight McNeil, according to Premier League records.

This victory took Newcastle up to third place in the standings with 62 points from 32 matches, past Manchester United who drew 2-2 against Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, Everton have been thrown back into the relegation zone, to be precise, in 19th place in the Premier League standings with 28 points from 33 matches.

In this match, Eddie Howe’s club dominated the game by recording 61 percent possession and releasing 15 kicks, eight of which were on target.

Newcastle had a one-goal lead in the 28th minute through a goal scored by Callum Wilson and the score was 1-0 for the visitors’ advantage to last until half-time.

In the second half, The Magpies getting crazier and able to increase the advantage through Joelinton and Wilson who made the score change to 3-0 in the 75th minute.

Everton managed to reduce the deficit to 1-3 in the 80th minute after Dwight McNeil broke into the Newcastle goal guarded by Nick Pope.

One minute later, Newcastle confirmed their lead and changed the score to 4-1 thanks to a goal scored by Jacob Murphy. The score lasted until the fight was over.

Furthermore, Newcastle United will host Southampton, Sunday (30/4/2023), while Everton will travel to Leicester City headquarters, Tuesday (2/5/2023).
