Ahsan / Hendra challenged in doubles by the US in the top 32 of the Canada Open

– The Indonesian men’s doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, will be challenged by the United States (US) doubles which have passed through the qualifying round in the top 32 of the Canada Open, Wednesday (5/7/2023).

Indonesia only sent Ahsan/Hendra to the championship which was held at the Markin MacPhail Center, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Ahsan/Hendra will meet US representatives, Chen Zhi Yi/Presley Smith.

Chen and Smith advanced to the main draw after defeating the hosts’ doubles, Hooman Bagheri/Derek Yu, 21-10, 21-13. Ahsan/Hendra have never met the US couple. As the world’s second ranked pair, Ahsan/Hendra are certainly the favorites in this match.

The Ahsan/Hendra party against Chen/Smith will be held on field 4 as the second match. The first match on this field will start Wednesday (5/7/2023) at 10.10 Canadian time or 23.10 WIB.

Indonesia only sent the men’s doubles pair, Ahsan/Hendra at the Super 500 level which will be held on 4-9 July 2023.
