In this match, Alwi Farhan admitted that he faced difficulties in the first game when his opponent played more defensively.

Despite falling behind in the first game, Alwi Farhan was able to appear extraordinary in the next game and managed to force the match to continue rubber game.

Finally, as the captain of the Indonesian team, Alwi Farhan overcame Ayush Shetty at crucial points with a powerful smash while in a winning position.

“I played more attacking in the first game so that the opponent waited a lot. When I lost in the wind, I should have been able to anticipate the opponent’s attack well. I am grateful to be able to get out of the pressure at important points and win the match,” said Alwi Farhan, who it’s also runner up Osaka International Challenge 2023.

Even though he managed to win, Alwi Farhan admitted that he was not very satisfied with his performance because he often made unforced errors. The player from Solo hopes to reduce unnecessary mistakes if he is played in the semifinals.

“I am not satisfied with my performance today. There are still many things that need to be evaluated from my side. I still often doubt so I play carefully,” added Alwi, who is also the 2021 Bangladesh Junior International Series champion.

So far, Alwi’s condition has not experienced serious problems, especially in his left thigh. Alwi only felt tense during the match so that his left thigh muscle felt stiff. It is hoped that this condition can be resolved soon to face the next match.

“My left thigh is a bit tense. I experienced something similar against China in the group phase. I feel this is happening because I feel tense,” said Alwi.
