Persija vs PSM and Bali United vs PSS Become the Opening Party for League 1

– Persija Jakarta’s match against defending champion PSM Makassar and Bali United against PSS Sleman will be the opening match for the 2023 League 1 competition.

The Persija party will host PSM at the Bung Karno Main Stadium, while the Bali United vs PSS Sleman match will be held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, on July 1.

Bali United Head Coach Stefano “Teco” Cugurra in Gianyar, Bali, Friday (23/6/2023), admitted that he would not underestimate the opposing team because PSS is a strong team with quality players and coaches.

“They have quality players and coaches this season and we have to work hard to win the first game,” said the Brazilian coach.

According to Teco, the determination of the 2023/2024 season competition schedule will make it easier for the coaching team to develop a training program for their team.

Apart from that, he continued, facing PSS Sleman was a pretty good preparation step considering that Bali United will also be fighting in the Asian Champions League in August.

“It’s good news when the competition schedule is available because the coaching team can arrange a training program for the team,” he said.

Meanwhile, there are two new systems in this season’s competition namely regular series And championship series.

In regular serieseach team will meet each other in home and away matches where points are calculated based on the results of the match.

If you win, you will get three points, draw one point, and lose zero points which will be counted in the standings.

After regular series lasted for 34 weeks, the top four teams in the standings will meet again in the round championship series.

Half championship series scheduled to take place May 4-26, 2024.

It is also possible for the match schedule to change at any time according to the situation and conditions of the League 1 competition.
