Real Madrid Wants to Sign Manchester City Star After Failing in the Champions League as a Replacement for Karim Benzema

Real Madrid were decisively defeated by Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final second leg. Los Blancos lost 0-4 so lost 1-5 on aggregate and failed to defend the title.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said his team lacked the skills needed to play two games in a row. “We played against a team that deserved to win tonight because they played with more intensity and quality in the first half,” the Italian tactician told the club’s website.

“They really opened the way to the final there. They did better than us today, just like last season. It can happen in the semi-finals of the Champions League.”

“We didn’t manage to implement what we had planned. It doesn’t have to be a drama. We lost a game against a superior team that night,” said Ancelotti.

“We cannot think that our attitude is not right for a Champions League semi-final. This is just a step which means we have to try to be better next year,” he concluded.
