Thailand Challenges Indonesia in the Semifinals of the Women’s U-19 AFF Cup

– Thailand will challenge Indonesia in the semifinals of the 2023 Women’s U-19 AFF Cup at Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring Sport City, Palembang, South Sumatra, Thursday (13/7/2023) evening.

Thailand is entitled to a ticket to the semifinals after the team, reinforced by Supapron Intaraprasit and his colleagues, defeated Myanmar with a score of 1-0 in the Group C match at the Jakabaring Sport City Athletics Arena on Monday (10/7) evening.

With this victory, Thailand managed to advance to the last four as Group C winners, thanks to the results they picked up in the previous group match.

Based on the rules set by the AFF, Thailand will automatically face Indonesia, which is the winner of Group A.

Sawin Jaraspetcharanan, the head coach of the Thailand Women’s National Team, revealed that he was not too worried about who his team would face in the semifinals.

According to Sawin, his foster children are ready both in terms of playing as a team and mentally.

This was proven by their ability to face all matches in the group C preliminary round, where they managed to beat strong teams like Myanmar and the Philippines.

“We are ready to face whoever the opponent is. I only focus on how to make the team even better,” said Sawin.

Some of the core players for the U-19 Thailand Women’s National Team include: Chalisa Phungoen, Parichat Thongrong, Saranaua Lamee, Supapron Intaraprasit, Jeema Thongpan, Pichayatida Manowang, Thanchanok Jansri, Natcha Kaewanta, Kantisa Inchamnan, Nualang Muensri, and Achiraya Yongsakul.
